I am thankful for Life, Freedom, and Honor. Today I am sitting here thinking of the Men & Women who are giving everything for us. I also think of three Men that who I Love and Respect and thank God for letting me be a part of their life’s. I know that you always see and hear these three words on Memorial Day but these three words have a huge significance to me.
See Life is what we are living today. They have lived life for each one of us. Not only have they lived life but they have given it for us. These Men and Women have given us unconditional life. We are here on this earth because of them. We have to thank each of them for our Life. We have to thank God for letting them give, because they are the chosen ones. Each one of them has given us Freedom to be what and who we are today. I hold a deepest respect and Honor for each one of them and there is not a day that goes by that I will not forget and I will always remember their unconditional life and love of us.
These three Men that I Love and Respect are great Men. First, I have to thank the first Man. He as pasted but he was full of Life and allow me to live it each and everyday. He taught me that Freedom was not free and to Honor those who are giving and have gaven it unconditionally. This Man was a true giver, an American Patriot and gave to us each and everyday. This Man was like no other. This Man was my hero and he is my Father.
The second Man is still living and gave to me something no one else can give. That is Freedom. Freedom to be who I am and Freedom to be free and full of live, and just like my Father he is an American Patriot. See he has given and still gives today to our veterans and anyone else he can help. This Man is like no other he is my only Brother.
The third Man is Life, Freedom and Honor. See he made a choice, a choice to give unconditionally to us, to each one of us, just as the other two Men did before him. This unconditional Man shows his Honor each and everyday to me. This Man is My Nephew a U.S. Marine.
Today I would like to Honor and all who have and are serving all of us unconditionally. As well as those Men and Woman who are the chosen ones, on this Memorial Day I thank you for Life, Freedom and your unconditional Honor.
This story could be anyone’s story. It’s just one of millions of stories that could be told today and everyday. Please feel free to leave your comment or story and share it with the world. I love the song Arlington by Tracy Adkins and I want to have it here to play for you.

How very true. Our military is our heroes - what would we do without them. However, my heart hurts for the ones dying in a war that is questionable. Can anyone answer me this - what is the purpose?

There's a bunch of my friends with their names carved on that black wall on the square.
ReplyDeleteIt's just a quirk of fate that it's not my name there.
So today in memory of all the faces I still see,
when I take the time to open up
that door inside of me,
and well up once again at
the stupidness of war,
and pray for all I'm worth
for the Peace the sacrifice is for.
Awesome tribute! Thanks for sharing.

SIMPLY OUTSTANDING...I reflect upon my dear husband Lucius who spent 25 years in the miltary and was a product of the Vietnam War--he went home to be with Lord almost 4 years ago with full Military Honors - I have come to appreciate the 21 gun salute and Taps -- they were more moving than I ever realized. Today I await the return of my daughter and son-in-law currently stationed in Bagdad,Irag. I pray for their safety daily as well as for the safety of the hundred of thousands of our young (and not so young) men and women defending this country around the world. God Bless them All, God Bless America and God Bless you Coach for bringing this very moving tribute to our men and women in Uniform.
ReplyDeleteMuch Love,
Miss Julia
Today, I appreciate and honor those who have served our country. Our debt of gratitude can never be quite enough, it seems. I also look forward to the day when war is no longer a reality in this world. Peace be with you all.
ReplyDeleteHappy Memorial Day! Great tribute to the men and women out there.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your tribute to those serving America in the military including the 3 special to you. My father was a Navy radio man but was on the beach at Iwoa Jima in WWII. Yes we must always remember those that made/make our freedom possible...

Awesome tribute, Coach. We need to keep thinking about what is REALLY important...like life and freedom. We need to give thanks for what we have and pray for the ones who take the steps to ensure our safety and freedom. Trace Adkin's Arlington is most appropriate...touches the heart.
ReplyDeleteHappy Memorial Day!
ReplyDeleteIn answer to Carole. Carole your heart should not hurt for the ones who are dying but Honor them today and ever day. The purpose is Freedom.

God Bless America great post and Happy Memorial Day to all and espesialy our troops overseas.
ReplyDeleteGreat Post Jim. Too many take for grantite the freedoms we have here in this country. Too many have not been there, done that so they have no idea what is really going on. The media spins things in a way to make people believe what they are saying is true. Once again, great post...
ReplyDeleteToo all of our hero's...

Just like the song goes it all about choice and everyone should be thankful of the choice that the men and woman make to serve our country.
